A Fantastic Concert... Cheers!

... A Piece Of You...

Cheers! That's the name of the singer whose concert I went to today. Just came back from Cheer Chen's (陈绮贞) concert.

I had a really bad morning. So bad and frustrating that I teared again. Thanks to work again. Sometimes life can be so unfair and torturing. Nothing made me feel better. Not even when my Manager called to 'sayang' me.

OT till 6 plus today. On the way, had a fight on sms with a sec school fren of mine. People just can't understand they kind of frustration and stress I'm under.

Anyway, by the time I reach home, it's already 6.30pm. Rushed through shower and dinner but still only manage to leave my house at 7.30pm. Took a cab down to Max Pavillion in fear of being late for the concert.

Was really glad I went for it. Though alone. I truly enjoyed it. Her vocals is really really good and her life performance is really exactly how she sounded on CD. Totally no regrets. It really help me relax and destress. Halfway through the concert, everyone rushed to the front. I managed to get a place very near to the stage. She is really so pretty and sweet looking. And her dedication to original and un-comercialised music is really so touching. I'm really refreshed by the concert. This is definitely the best concert so far. Now I realy know how the tickets to her Taiwan concert sells out within 3 days and even before publicity starts. It's really good.

The stage layout's fantastic too. One main screen and 2 vertical rectangular screens lined out next to both sides of the main screen. While she sings, we started with having animated sky with shooting stars occasionally, then as the concert progresses, we see a house in mist of the green field then followed by video clips in relation to the songs. It's the first time I've seen this kinda set up. and to top the experience, guess how many Encores? At least 4 - 5! so many I lost count. The most in all the concerts I've attended. We just didn't wanna let her go. We keep wanting to hear more. How many songs she sang? Lots! I really lost count. Cos she doesn't talk much, she just sang and sang for full 3 hours. Bravo!

I got quite a number of photos and some clips from the concert. Will post up once I've 'copywrited' them. So stay tuned!

Below are some net extract of the concert:
